Over 700 Cycling Santas and One Rudolph Leading the Way

Over 700 cyclists dressed in Santa outfits and one Rudolph cycled the full length of the new South Bristol Link ahead of its official opening.

The family-friendly, traffic free ride took place on Sunday, 18th December on a 4.5km section of the new road from the Gatehouse Centre in Bishopsworth to the junction with the A370 in North Somerset.

The route continued for a further kilometre to Ashton Court, where mince pies and refreshments were offered and a Welsh male voice choir provided entertainment.

The South Bristol Link Road joins the A370 to the A38 and forms part of the route of the city’s Metrobus Scheme.
