 | The works consisted of the construction of two large reinforced concrete structures:- - A 30mm high tower as base for a 20m high hardwood timber tower to provide a quenching facility for the rapid cooling of coke. The tower was lined with bricks throughout.
- A settlement pond structure to collect, clean and recycle the run off water.
Other works included: - 250m of rail track incorporating concrete support slabs adjacent to the tower
- Mechanical Control Centre building to house the electrical switchgear for the plant
- Associated roads and paved areas
- All hard and soft landscaping
- Safety barriers and security fencing
